Mumbai is now open 24x7 & here's all you should know!
Somebody said years ago that Mumbai never sleeps. Little did we know that the Maharashtra Tourism Minister, Aditya Thackeray is going to take it literally! To many Mumbaikars’ delight, several malls and multiplexes in Mumbai have decided to stay open 24x7 starting Friday, 24th January 2020.
The plan is set to entertain all Nyctophiles in full-fledge beginning Monday, the 27th. However, a few of the suggested places decided to step up and give it a fair shot over the weekend itself. This supposed shift could help create more jobs in the service sector churning more revenue, the people are hopeful. Below is a detailed insight into the same.
Giving a fair chance to the tourism industry of Mumbai by attempting to try something different, Aditya Thackeray is sure stirring the game. Although there are a number of places that stay open after 1 AM already, making it official is a different ballgame altogether. And the list of places includes the following for now
R City Mall Ghatkopar
City malls being open post 12 AM comes off as a little unusual, but not in Mumbai anymore. The food court can become the new midnight meeting spot for good coffee along with food to gorge on. Make way as your night strolls to the park might be replaced by a casual one to the mall as well.

Bandra Kurla Complex and Nariman Point
Late nights are synonymous to food, aren’t they? Two dedicated lanes, one each at Bandra Kurla Complex and Nariman Point will solely host food trucks that’ll serve 24x7. That sure is a dream come true for all of us who have major late-night food cravings. Munchies to snack on, coffee, and dessert options will all be available now on.

Multiplexes
Movies and Mumbai have also taken their relationship to a whole new level! Multiplexes such as Pheonix PVR in Parel, Atria Inox in Worli, CR2 Inox in Nariman Point, and Viviana Cinepolis in Thane arranged midnight screenings of recently released movies over the weekend experimentally. These and many other multiplexes are sure gonna grab this opportunity real soon.

Wait! But what about pubs and bars?
A lot of us got our hopes up real high, but there’s a catch. The bars and pubs are likely to close at their usual time of 1:30 AM. So no booze for the nocturnal souls until someone has a change of the heart.
Along with the locals, travellers will now get to see the city in all its late-night charms, so kudos to the city, this is definitely a one-up!
