DESCRIPTION

                On an epic 6N/7D epic trip filled with happening stays at Zostels, fun conversations, and guided tours. Rajasthan is India's land of royalties, explore the state’s medieval forts, bejewelled palaces, scenic lake towns, colourful bazaars, and a crazy food scene with Zostel. Rich in culture and history, Rajasthan is a playground of adventurers and everything else you need it to be. Hop on this journey with us, and you can explore the state’s finest offerings, including Jaipur, Pushkar, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. This is an all-inclusive trip covering transportation, stays at our hostels in incredible locations, and wholesome meals. We’re taking only 12 people per batch. Read the itinerary for more details.

ITINERARY

Day 1- 21 Jan, Sat: Explore Jaipur
  • At noon, check-in at Zostel Jaipur. The day is free for you to explore the Pink City. Our lively hostel in Jaipur is only a 10-min walk from the city’s most iconic landmarks. We recommend you visit Jal mahal, Amber fort, Nahargarh fort, and Hawa Mahal.

  • After you’ve had your fill of Jaipur, return to the hostel for a wholesome dinner and a sweet night’s sleep. 

  • Jaipur at a glance: With an old-world charm, incredible shopping markets, luscious food joints, and grand forts and palaces, Jaipur offers the perfect cultural escape. A casual outing around the pink city will treat you to the lesser-known hikes and sunset spots.
Day 2- 22 Jan, Sun: Jaipur to Pushkar
  • Start your morning with a hearty breakfast at 8 am. 

  • After breakfast, we leave for Pushkar by 9 am. Later, check-in at Zostel Pushkar and head out to soak in the happening vibe of the town, cafe hopping, and exploring the ghats. Or stay back at the hostel and chill by the pool.  

  • Be back at the hostel by 4 pm to take a Gondola ride to Savitri temple. 

  • By 8 pm, return to the hostel for a filling dinner and rest. 

  • Pushkar at a glance: Spread around a scenic lake, Pushkar boasts a blend of backpacking culture, amazing chilling spots, and chic cafes and food joints. An evening stroll around the ghats of Pushkar will offer a soothing vibe, a pretty sunset, and spell bounding aartis.
Day 3- 23 Jan, Mon: Pushkar to Jaisalmer
  • At 8 am, have a hearty breakfast at Zostel Pushkar. 

  • After breakfast, we leave for Jaisalmer. Upon reaching, check-in at Zostel Jaisalmer, located inside the golden fort. 

  • Rest or explore around the town and return to the hostel by 8 pm and have a wholesome dinner. 

  • Jaisalmer at a glance: Boasting the massive golden fort, Jaisalmer is a place known for its amazing food scene, iconic architecture, and soothing folklore. Along with all this, look forward to a surreal experience of desert camping, gazing at the swooshing stars, and vibrant sunrise over the dunes.
Day 4- 24 Jan, Tue: Exploring Jaisalmer
  • At 8 am, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hostel. 

  • Later, step out to explore the desert lands of Jaisalmer at your own expense. We recommended visiting Jaswant Thada, Jaisalmer fort, Patwon ki Haveli, and Gadisar lake. 

  • Return to the hostel in the afternoon and leave for desert camping. Have a wholesome meal and enjoy your night's stay in the middle of the Thar desert under a starry sky.
Day 5- 25 Jan, Wed: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
  • Have your breakfast at 8 am at the hostel or campsite. 

  • Afterwards, we leave for the blue city, Jodhpur. Later, check-in at Zostel Jodhpur and leave to visit Mehrangarh fort and Toorji ka Jhalra bavri (stepwell). 

  • At around 8 pm, return to the hostel and enjoy a delicious dinner overlooking a majestic view of Mehrangarh fort from our rooftop. 

  • Jodhpur at a glance: The blue city, Jodhpur, welcomes you to Rajasthan with ornate palaces, ancient forts, and narrow filled with unheard folklore. But most of all, it's a paradise for foodies. You just can’t have enough of Jodhpur’s fine offerings when you’re here.
Day 6- 26 Jan, Thur: Jodhpur to Udaipur
  • Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hostel. 

  • Later, we leave for Udaipur, the town of lakes. After reaching, we head out to watch a gorgeous sunset at 
  • Ambrai ghat, an evening stroll at Lake Pichola, and explore Saheliyo ki Bari. 
Return to the hostel by 8 pm, have a wholesome dinner with an excellent view, and call it a night. 

  • Udaipur at a glance: Famously deemed as a city of lakes, Udaipur is a charming town in Rajasthan. It has a rich history and culture and is primarily known for its scenic lakes, grand palaces, ornate forts, and lush gardens.
Day 7- 27 Jan, Fri: Explore Udaipur
  • Have a filling breakfast at the hostel at around 8 am. 

  • After breakfast, step out to explore Udaipur fort, the Monsoon palace, and a vibrant sunset by the Badi lake. 

  • Return to the hostel at around 8 pm, have a wholesome dinner, and take a rest for the night. 

  • The trip ends here with lots of good memories and see you soons for the next adventure.

INCLUSIONS

  • What to Carry: Packing light is always a good idea! However, you’re venturing into one of the coldest regions of India, so we recommend that you prepare for this trip well in advance and pack as accurately as possible. A few essentials we always suggest you carry are: ● A good pair of hiking shoes. ● Caps/hats and a pair of sunglasses, towel, water bottle, and thermos flask. ● A rain cover and a raincoat/poncho, adequate woolens, and a windcheater jacket. ● Thermal wear that supports 5 to 10 degree temperatures- 2 pairs of socks and gloves, fleece, thermal pants, and t-shirts. ● Finally, a torchlight, an umbrella, sunscreen or moisturizer, personal meds, and toiletries.
  • Inclusions: A total of 12 meals (6 breakfasts and 6 dinners); everyday commute by a 12-seater tempo traveler; accommodation for 6 nights with trusted partners; all inner line permits for the trip; driver night charges, toll tax, parking charges; an oxygen cylinder in case of emergency; travel insurance for all participants. * Kindly note, considering the remoteness of the place, the supply of breakfast and dinner might have limited varieties

POLICIES

  • Exclusions: GST (5%); transport to and from Guwahati; any kind of food items or beverages that are not included in the package like alcoholic drinks, mineral water, refreshments/lunches on the highway; any personal expenses; any cost arising due to natural calamities; anything not mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Important accommodation disclaimer: Due to extreme conditions in remote areas, travelers may have to adjust to a limited hot water supply, water in buckets, Indian toilets, and dry toilets. The team shall always try their best to make the journey smooth and comfortable for all participants, however, we urge you to accommodate minor inconveniences that are difficult to manage or impossible to change, given the altitude, temperatures, and remoteness of the locations. ● Accommodation will be on sharing basis as follows - 1.   • Cancellation: Due to harsh weather conditions, homestays located in remote regions have to make preparations for your stay much in advance. The booking amount is 100% refundable if a cancellation is made 21 days prior to the commencement date. For cancellations made within 21 days from the date of trip commencement, no refund will be applicable.
  • Who should join this trip - ●We strongly recommend individuals of age 18-35 yrs. ●Heart patients are not allowed to participate in this expedition. ●The trip involves traveling in a 12-seater traveler for up to 6-8 hours. People with back problems or looking to travel by their own vehicle are not advised to book.
  • Zostel will not be responsible in case of delays or alterations in the program or indirect expenses such as natural hazards, accidents, machinery breakdown, weather conditions, landslides, political closure, or any unforeseen incidents. Furthermore, the itinerary is planned according to the weather forecasted much in advance of the commencement date and may involve necessary changes in the schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being, which will be informed on the WhatsApp group.   • Travelers are requested to respect Nature, the culture of the region, and the sentimental values of the locals. They must refrain from acts of littering, intoxication in public areas, and disrespecting people, animals, or any places of worship at all times.
  • This trip begins in Jaipur and ends in Udaipur. Travelers need to arrange their travels to Jaipur and from Udaipur on their own.
  • 100% pre-payment is required for the confirmation of the booking.
  • We strictly discourage drinking and smoking on trips due to health & safety concerns. Hence, we recommend being in the right shape to make the most of them. In case of a medical emergency during the trip, participants are requested to reach out directly to the travel insurance provider. Insurance details will be shared directly with the participants on their respective email IDs. As Zostel is only facilitating the insurance, Zostel will not be accountable for any correspondence for the claim or refund in case you cannot carry forward with the trip.
