Zostel Udaipur is a social, centrally located backpacker hostel with killer lake views from our rooftop cafe. Located in the middle of action, our hostel is the best vantage point to experience the city of lakes and palaces.
From Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar to stroll along in the evening to the 2nd largest City Palace of India to Sajjangarh fort, set atop a hill overlooking the entire city, Udaipur, besides being ‘one of the most romantic locations in India’ is also a hub of backpackers.
Boat rides on any of the lakes is a pleasant affair but be sure to do it only in the evening. The best way to explore the hilly city is on foot. Finishing work in the evenings early and gathering in temples to sing prayers of God or taking a stroll through the Bazaars is a common thing to do in the city.
Right in front of Swaroop Sagar Lake, Zostel Udaipur is at a walkable distance from the main Jagdish Chowk of the city. The rooftop cafe at the hostel is a place where you can enjoy best views of the lake while sipping a cup of your favourite drink.

Highly recommend! Staff was excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Close walk to the city palace ~15 min walk.The best part was by far the rooftop! From breakfast to dinner, it was our favorite spot to dine and enjoy sitting on top of the city!
It was a great experience staying at Zostel where the stay was comfortable and located at a great view where we can enjoy the sunset chilling at the cafe with a beer ;)

B'ful hangout areas with colorful wall.And as always the best place to meet fellow travelers and the staff try everything to make you happy.
I spent most nights up on the rooftop restaurant looking out over the lakes and mountains enjoying the view and the food. I met many travellers up here to talk to and even met someone to accompany me on the next part of my travel. The location was pretty good and the staff were amazing, very helpful.
My husband and I have traveled quite a bit the last months and can say now that Zostel Udaipur was, hands down, one of the best hostels we've ever stayed -the reason to extend our stay in Udaipur.Zostel has definitely THE BEST view of Lake Pichola, where we spent most of our stay.
Zostel, Udaipur. It's a love at first sight.The instance you realize that the parts of it, you are falling in love with are none other than some of your basic simple expectations like its aesthetic wall arts, echt cleanliness, gird rooms, incredible staff, and fabulous rooftop.
